GALAX NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 1-Click OC 16GB GDDR7 Graphics Card

My existing card failed and I was forced to make a choice. As you look across the range of offerings in the NVidia family the price creep is painful.
You settle on a card and budget but then you see the next card is just a few hundred more.
This Card from GALAX is a perfectly good card. Run the fans with 3rd party software. It's quiet and handles gaming well at top settings.

You only buy a 5080 or 5090 if you've got disposable income, but why pay more for the more expensive 5080s? While any 50 series card is pricey, this is a "great deal" compared to the many expensive 5070 tis and other 5080s. It works. It performs because it is a 5080 GPU, and the cooling is no issue. I haven't played with the "one click" overclock yet, but it is clear the 'Xtreme Tuner' software is not the highest quality. You can set a temperature target though so it will simply overclock itself and keep itself under that temp. For now, coming from a 3060 ti I'm more than happy with the performance. Cyberpunk is maxed out, and simracing in VR pushing 120fps per eye is running effortlessly with modded Assetto Corsa. The included anti-sag mount was clearly thrown in last minute. It's functional. Be aware it has a large base which I didn't take into account as I have a fan directly below the GPU. Considering other brands boast about their fan-tech or fan partner, I expected the fans to be noisey but are surprisingly quiet, infact the GPU itself runs cool so there's definitely room for overclocking... in the future.

The size is compact and sane - should fit in a SFF. And it's the best looking 5080 out there by far. The only cheaper 5080 with RGB. Is not plagued by the "black screen" issue.
